Adventure meets comfort at this geodesic dome tucked into 12 wooded acres in Holmes County, Ohio — the perfect basecamp for nature-lovers. Lace up your boots and explore the on-site hiking trails by day, then relax around the outdoor fire pit under star-filled skies. Inside, the loft and second bed offer a cozy place to crash, with a handy kitchenette for easy camp-style meals. Surrounded by peaceful forest and fresh country air, this dome delivers that “off-the-grid” feel without giving up the essentials — a unique stay for those who crave the outdoors and a little wanderlust.

We know, contracts aren’t the most exciting part of your getaway, but to keep our home safe, we’ll need you to sign a quick rental agreement upon booking (this will be sent to you, after you book) — then it’s all fun from there! You can see what the contract looks like in the House Rules section. Note, check in details will not be sent until that contract has been signed.

1. Walk around Downtown Walnut Creek. You have to visit Coblentz Chocolate and try their chocolate buckeyes while you are there!
2. Explore the Sheiyah Market- It has everything from coffee to plants to homegoods! You name it- it’s here!
3. Take a stroll through Walnut Creek Cheese- Don’t worry, it has more than cheese! This is also a great place to pick up local groceries for your stay!
4. Have a private horse and buggy ride- Stop by the nearby Carlisle Inn to find out more!
5. Go wine tasting at Breitenbach Wine Cellars!
6. Take a guided tour or walk through Behalt, at the local Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center to learn more about the lifestyle of the Amish and Mennonites!

2. Der Dutchman - Another local favorite! You have to try their breakfast and dinner buffet… There is a reason why it is famous!
3. East Main - A trendy favorite for everything from lattes to cakes to a full dinner! If you go here, you have to try their Rueben Sandwich and wash it down with a slice of their chocolate cake (YUM)!

*Please be prepared to bring any additional supplies that you will need during your stay.

Please Note:

1. Upon booking, each guest will receive a guest rental agreement. This must be signed before the Guide Book (which includes access instructions for the property) is sent.

2. Pet Policy: **This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note, if we find evidence of an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and guests will be charged a $400 non-refundable fine. This is also grounds for immediate removal of the guests from the home.

3. No Smoking: If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 / per day.

4. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time.

5. There are NO LONG CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS! We want for you to be able to fully enjoy every minute of your stay!

6. This home is equipped with a security camera outside for the protection of home and safety of our guests. It is recording 24/7, 365 days a year. There are no cameras on the interior of the home.

7. We offer complimentary 24/7 communication to ensure that your stay exceeds your expectations! Please feel free to reach out to us day or night, and we will provide you with a swift response.

A really beautiful and unique stay. We loved the little bunny that visited the edge of the yard each evening.
We got some many good recommendations from our hosts. Even though there is another dome and a tent on the site it was private and peaceful.

The Sycamore Dome was a great weekend stay for my husband and I to celebrate our 13 year anniversary. We are not campers, so this was a great alternative for us. Almost all of the amenities and comforts of a hotel/home, but in a relaxing nature setting. The Dome is beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable. The shower was amazing! The outside firepit area was very nice. If you are a bird watcher,like us, there are sooo many birds!! I would highly recommend this property. Landon did a great job communicating prior to and during our stay. He provided suggestions for restaurants and points of interest in the area. Definitely try to make it to East Main Kitchen, the food was AMAZING and if you enjoy wine, go early, Baltic Mill Winery is across the street! If you are considering this property, just do it! You won't regret it.

The Sycamore Dome is the perfect stay in Amish Country. The host was super responsive and helpful during our stay. The dome is decorated so cozy and you immediately feel comfortable. The dome was absolutely gorgeous staring out into the forest, snow and sky. Being able to see it all no matter where you were in the dome (well besides the bathroom) was an amazing experience. The chickens were absolutely adorable and it felt extremely serene and peaceful out there.

This is such a special property! It was an absolutely beautiful experience, we could not be happier with it. The dome is SO COOL, the view is awesome, perfectly placed for sunrise. The surroundings are peaceful and we loved hiking through the woods on site. Also loved getting to watch the chickens from inside and collect fresh eggs, can’t beat that! The layout of the dome, furnishing choices, linens etc are all amazing, felt super luxurious! The unit is stocked with everything you could need and more - we especially loved the games and books for kids, we had hours of fun with those 😊 The dome felt super cozy in winter and we really loved the floors which felt like they were heated! The outdoor space is beautiful - we didn’t get to use the fire pit or grill, but great amenities to have. And the electric vehicle charging stations, what a bonus!! I can’t say enough about this place and hosts - they were so helpful and proactive and friendly. Highly recommend!!

We fell in love with this dome! We had been seeing them and wanted to stay in one and since it was our anniversary, we opted to stay here to celebrate. Absolutely everything that we needed was right here. Since we stayed in a cool month, it did get a little chilly at night, but they provided a whole basket of extra blankets. Plus I take my heated throw everywhere I go because I freeze everywhere. There is also a towel warmer, so we put our clothes in it along with a towel, before getting dressed. Maybe a heated mattress pad would be a suggestion for winter months. But overall, we loved it!! And would stay here again!

This house was amazing! It's everything it says it was and more. I used to live in Sarasota, and this location is ideal. Not far from the beaches but close to shopping at UTC ( University Town Center) and the brand new Mote Aquarium. During our stay we saw all kinds of birds including a flock of about 40 green parrots, and three cranes that walked by daily once right up by the screen by the pool. The view of the canal and golf course with all the trees was so beautiful.The kitchen was so big! We love to cook when we're on vacation and we had three people in the kitchen working at different stations with plenty of room. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and the living room was large with the great wrap around couch. The pool table was such a bonus.I cannot say enough about the pool! It was large and it was heated she's such a great temperature that it felt amazing. There was plenty of outdoor seating and we loved this swing.Check in and check out was seamless and easy! We have rented houses and stayed in Sarasota to visit our family there several times, and we will absolutely be renting this house before any others if it's available. I will come here again and again. My husband and I actually commented that we wished we had this house when we lived in Sarasota. If the owner ever wants to sell I hope he calls us first. I highly recommend this house.

What is our cancellation policy?

- 100% refunds are given for any cancellations made until 30 days before check-in.

- 50% refund for cancellations made within 30 days but before 14 days of check-in.

- No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.

- We are happy to reschedule your stay up to 45 days prior to check-in but a 10% rescheduling fee will apply. Please note, we are unable to reschedule your stay if given less than 14 days` notice before your scheduled check-in.
